THANK YOU. I felt like I was the only one who felt like this entire past season of Succession has felt uneven and full of seemingly portentous plot threads that went nowhere. The actual ending didn’t feel like it amounted to much, thematically. Shiv’s decision felt not just out of character, but somewhat inexplicable given what they had set up earlier in the very same episode. The whole thing kind of felt a bit like the creators had sort of lost interest in continuing anything that they had set up and we’re just in search of an expedient conclusion. Meh.

I agree it was out of character, though of course her character is so flip floppy everyone can reasonably disagree. It wasn't the flip flop that felt out of the character for me, it was the bringing up his killing a guy she didn't need to do that she didn't have to convince anyone she could just go vote however she wanted it was sibling-relationship ending either way.

I think they could have done a very different last season and have it end up being Gerri and it could have worked. She made a lot more sense in a lot of ways.

Also the whole tech-buys-old-media is so AOL/WB no one would ever allow it because the stink of that deal spans decades and people still hate the idea in general because of it.

i am so glad succession is over too. it was a better show when it was more funny/absurd.

i love framing things! and the only time i spend any “extra” money on it is by having a mat cut. cheap frame + professional mat = beauty.

if i think about plastic too long i get so depressed. would a corporate tax credit for companies who stopped using plastic do anything? would that legislation even pass? 😞

There are some government proposals on closed-loop laws, where the producer is responsible for the disposal, and they would help, but they are nowhere near "solving" the problem.

framing is one of those things that is totally unexciting to spend money on but oh-so-satisfying when it's finished. talk about delayed gratification.

we should be doing SO MUCH about plastic. it should be banned. especially the black plastic that the machines don't see. we live in the future—there are alternatives! it pisses me off so much. but please don't get discouraged! you just need one rich, famous person with a savior complex to help you out! (if i were loaded, i would.)
