I'm a believer in the concept that certain numbers are inherently more funny than others. Apparently this is somewhat known/agreed upon in the comedy world?
I think it's more along the lines of, 'I hit my head 39 times!' works better than 'I hit my head 40 times!' Actually, thinking about this more, seems like odd numbers are funnier than even numbers!
