Thanks for writing this, Rick — I enjoyed it and it gave me a little more context on crypto, which I've mostly avoided maybe out of my own exhaustion with the technology-will-save-us or technology-as-revolution narratives that have felt like a dodge from the real issues and collective unprocessed grief around a devastated planet and democracy. But there's something to the idea that people are learning and having fun playing again. Maybe we can take some of the lessons from the other web eras forward. Maybe we're working to integrate lessons from an awkward technological adolescence. We can hope.
Meanwhile, do you have any cassingles from Secret Center records of Sacramento, California from my old high school friend Scott Miller in your collection? I was just wondering.
