Good morning. Hello. How are you? #1132
My neck hurts. I watched some stuff on the television. I went to the attic. Short one.
Good morning! Hello! How are you? Holding up okay? Thursday, March 21. Spring! Well, that is exciting. I like spring. It is a nifty season. The smell of mulch in the air, how great is that (sorry, Emily). Spring is just great. Look at that sun. Look at that green. Can’t go wrong, A+ season, no complaints. Except allergies. My truck is green. My nose is green. My daughter is a’ coughin’. My wife is annoyed by them. We are a family of allergy sufferers, like all of Amurca.
My neck hurts. What else is new, right? But it hurts in a new, special way. Deep muscle thing I just can’t get to. Very distracting. Where is Stephanie when I need her. She was such a great massage therapist I miss her deeply.
Watched some more of the Taylor Swift Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) concert movie on Disney Plus last night. I am now in the Midnights section of the show. I am not sure how there is still an hour left. Encore or something. The whole thing has been very interesting. Took me about an hour and a half into it to realize the live band is visible the whole time on the left and the right of the screen on the main stage. I very much appreciate this. I like it when you can see the band at a concert, call me old fashioned. I also like that that dude with the hair has been in her band since the very beginning. That is crazy town what a life. I was deeply disappointed in the 1989 set the way she kept shortening songs like “Style,” “Wildest Dreams” and “Blank Space” down to their chorus and refrain, basically. “Style” especially, it’s one of my favorite songs by her. So weird, what the heck is the point of this in a three+ hour long concert of people who love every song of yours and 1989 is her best-selling records. Mysterious. Though I did really like the accentuated Rhodes chord progression in “Shake it Off,” that sounded really cool.
I am listening to the new Kacey again. My second copy came – the limited edition, alternative cover version that was sold on Kacey’s site. It did not arrive on time, I stand corrected. The copy that arrived on time was the one that shipped from the local record store. This seems to be a very difficult thing for artists to do: get their albums in the hands of customers on the day its released. I used to just assume it was the vinyl manufacturing backlog but, I mean, Schoolkids records pulled it off, why can’t MCA.
Finished Fargo season 5 yesterday and it was a good show. Bit too dark for my comedy desires these days. I don’t love when “comedy” just means “happy ending.” Like… well, I don’t wanna do spoilers or anything so I am speaking more generally but when lots of bad things happen to good people and then in the end it turns out okay I don’t really love watching that for so long. I don’t experience enough catharsis at the end to offset the angst I feel watching people suffer.
But man. The acting. Really amazing. Juno Temple. Didn’t know she had it in her. Jon Hamm was terrific and terrifying. Jennifer Jason Leigh chef’s kiss (new band name).
We are now re-watching 30 Rock and oh boy does it stand the test of time. So great.
Went to Chore House yesterday and took a look at that electrical box the solar roof people stuck on the inside of the roof in an area I want to keep exposed. I decided it is currently in the best position it could be in. it is not great, but it will be fine.
Then I took a ton of additional measurements of various parts of the attic in my continuing journey to get a proper blueprint of the attic so I can make my floor plan plan. I realized that once I have a full blueprint, I could just send it off to some 3D artist on Fiverr or something and get them to make a 3D model of it, so I am just going to continue as I’m going for now. Maaaaaybe I will endeavor to learn SketchUp, it’s a thing I want to learn, but I have always been terrible about spatial 3D thinking. I would totally fail if I were Khan in a stolen USS Reliant trying to take on the formidible duo of Spock and Kirk. I would display a real lack of three dimensional thinking.
I also realized I could, in theory, eventually fly through that 3D model in an Apple Vision Pro, assuming someone has made some sort of 3D fly through software. Which I have not heard about. But it just has to exist, right? Anyway, that would be pretty cool.
Today’s Media of the Day is this noise and metal playlist boy there is a lot of great stuff on here. Just finished listening to the reissue of the Thou album of all Nirvana covers and it is so great. First album in a really long time I starred every single song on. I am excited for those songs to come on randomly for the rest of my life that’s gonna be just great, being like 75 years old and Thou’s cover of “I Hate Myself and I want to Die” comes on. Maybe I’ll text ‘em when that happens. I wonder what Thou will be up to in the year 2050.
Man imagine if I live to the year 2050 that’ll be so crazy.
It’s weird how much I like metal now. It’s weird because glam metal is so much more feminine, and aligned with my taste in other sort-of androgynous music like synth pop or goth. But I never really loved glam metal. But I sure love grinding doom metal it is just the best.
Hrm you know, I have been just sitting here trying to think of one, maybe two more topics for today’s edition to round it out. But I got nothing. I think I will just keep this one short.
You have a lovely day, ya hear?
